ADVERTISING
 Advertising as commerce.

Advertising is concerned with the introduction of a product or services to the prospective customer or consumer.



Advertising points out the quality of the product and the characteristics of the product when companies produce similar products they distinguish there own product by qualifying the best example: close-up ,macleans ,sensodyne ,dabour herbal etc. They are all the same product but different manufacturers .Advertising is therefore a means where by the manufacturers tells or educate their prospective buyers about there products. It creates awareness and builds up a good image of the product so that customers will buy the product.

In Advertising customers for whom the goods are meant for must be told about the availability of the goods and where to get them. Sometimes they (consumers) have to be told the use of such goods,especially when they are new in the market. Advertising has become an important part of the attempt to get the goods in the hands of the consumer.
OBJECTIVES OF ADVERTISING
It introduces new products to the potential buyer.
To introduce to consumers or customers the new use of an existing product.
To inform the people about an old product which has been redesigned or reformated into a new one.
To build a cooperate image for a company especially whom there are many manufacturers of similar product.
To increase sales.

FUNCTIONS OF ADVERTISING IN BUSINESS
Advertising informs the public about a product which a company manufactures.
It provides information about the usefulness of that product and conditions under which the product was manufactured.
It helps the consumer to compare quality and process of the different product performing similar functions.
It helps the consumer to know how to use the product and where to get it.

5. Catalogue etc.
