Poem # hardwork

I had always been too scared to walk too far
I always thought it would leave a scar
I always thought my feet would fail me
I had always been too scared to see

I had always been eager to give my best
I always thought I couldn't do the rest
I always thought my best was enough
I had always been too scared to have it rough

I had always been too scared to take the risk
I always thought I didn't have to frisk
I always thought I had no inner grenade
I had always been too scared to leave the shade

I had always thought everything had limits
I always thought of that point I couldn't meet
I always thought there was a high standard
I had always been too scared to work that hard

But now I know better
There's no such thing as too far
There are no limits
Except the ones you're yet to meet
No best is enough
Because you're that tough
History is written by the winners
Achievements are made by hard workers
